weControl established his new premises in Courtelary.

The project of development of weControl was launched in early 2008 to turn this subsidiary into an industrial company, able to export UAV systems worldwide.

La Praye area, close to the airdrome of Courtelary has been chosen to realise this development.

weControl, a spin-off from Federal Polytechnique Institute of Zurich was launched in 2000 to develop and commercialise UAV autopilots, especially for helicopters. weControl products have been successfully used on various platforms worldwide.

Cooperation between SURVEY Copter and weControl began 8 years ago and many projects, like DRAC, have been realised together.

On September 11th of 2007, SURVEY Copter takes possession of weControl to control the whole technological chain for UAV conception.
From then on, the position of SURVEY Copter is strongly strengthened on the worldwide market.

On Courtelary implantation, weControl predict to raise the staff significantly: hire 3 persons in 2009, until 20 persons around 2012.

Launch of the implantation was decided in September 2008, and real deployment was started in March 2009.
